ARTIST BIO

Award winning, contemporary American artist,

Michele Renee Sherlock, (b. 1964, Ohio, USA) has lived in three of the largest cities in the U.S., New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Her artistic influences began in her 20's when she moved to New York City and developed a love of art museums, architecture, and international travel. Sherlock's travels have taken her to Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and almost every state in the U.S.  During these travels, Sherlock would immerse herself in the local social and environmental culture to provide immersive ideas for her paintings.

Sherlock has studied abstract composition, collage, and intuitive painting theory in the U.S., along with color theory in Sauveterre-de-Bearn, France in 2023.

Michele has work in private and corporate collections throughout America.

Currently, Michele enjoys working in her studio at the Zhou B Art Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
